Barnafoss, also known as "the Children's Falls," is a striking waterfall in western Iceland, it is wild and turbulent, churning through a narrow, rocky gorge carved from dark volcanic rock, fed by the Hvítá River. The gorge is narrow and jagged, creating a dramatic scene as the water squeezes through tight turns and under natural stone arches. The surrounding lava fields, covered in moss and low vegetation, give the area a raw, untouched feel—harsh yet hauntingly beautiful.
